Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our Competitiveness Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data related to manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves entering, updating, and maintaining various data sets, generating reports, and supporting the team with data-related tasks to optimize manufacturing efficiency and productivity
Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Entry and Maintenance:
- Accurately enter and update data in the company's database systems.
- Maintain records of process metrics, production outputs, and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits and cross-checks.
- Report Generation:
- Generate and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports on process performance and improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of data for presentations and meetings.
- Data Analysis Support:
- Provide support in data collection and preliminary analysis for process improvement projects.
- Assist in identifying trends and patterns within data sets to support decision-making.
- Documentation:
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files related to process engineering and continuous improvement.
- Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other documentation as required.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with process engineers, continuous improvement specialists, and other team members to understand data requirements.
- Support the team with data-related tasks and special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or higher in a related field is a plus.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in data entry, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with process engineering and continuous improvement concepts is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data entry software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Additional Requirements:
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production metrics is a plus.
