Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to the orthodontist in delivering excellent patient care and maintaining efficient operations within the orthodontic practice.
- One location practice
- Patients scheduled Monday-Thursday
- Typical work day: 7:10am-5:10pm (lunch break 12:30pm-1:45pm)
- Weekly paid training sessions
- 2-3 Friday meetings annually

Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and orthodontic procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Perform dental assisting duties such as chairside assisting, instrument sterilization, and equipment maintenance
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records
Skill Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to orthodontics and dentistry
- Experience in dental assisting with a focus on orthodontics and comfortable working with patients of all ages, particularly pediatrics
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems, preferably Dolphin Imaging & Mgmt.
- Strong background in private practice orthodontic clinic operations and patient care
- Proficient with: self ligating brackets, retie, elastic therapy, bonding, rebond, debond, removable and bonded retainers, iTero scanning, detailing archwires and phase I treatment.
