The Mammography Technologist performs routine screening mammography examinations to obtain high quality radiographs.
- Obtains images of excellent diagnostic quality to optimally demonstrate anatomy and/or pathology while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients.
- The technologist educates the patient about the exam and takes measures to provide and care for the patient’s safety and properly utilizes procedure related patient care/support devices appropriate for the age of the patient.
- Alerts Supervisor and/or appropriate staff of potential problems or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintains a relaxed environment to calm anxious patients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Associates Degree or higher.
- Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
- Minimum of 6 months – 1 year preferred, but will also consider new graduates that possess State of California Mammography License (CRT M)
- Knowledge of EMR Systems and EPIC is preferred
License Required
- California Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic Radiologic Technology - CRTXR
- California Radiologic Technologist Mammographic Radiologic Technology -CRTMA
Certifications Required
- ARRT Radiography - RTR
- AHA BLS certification
- ARRT Mammography - RTM
- If newly licensed in mammography, advanced credential must be obtained within 6 months

- Technical Supervisor or Breast Center Manager (based on site)
Pay: $36.00 - $55.00 per hour
