POSITION SUMMARY:
The Member Services Evening Lead is a key staff person at the Member Services Desk. The incumbent is often the first impression our members have of our facility, and exceptional customer service to all members, guests, and program participants is the top priority. Ensure the Member Services and concession areas are maintained and prepared to welcome members for the next day. Conduct a walk-through of the Fitness Center, Gymnasium, Locker rooms, Group Exercise Studios and hallways to ensure members have left once the JCC is closed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· At the beginning of each shift, ensure the Member Services area, Fitness Center, Gymnasium, Aquatics areas, and locker rooms are maintained and prepared to welcome members for the day.
· Maintain up to date knowledge of all programs, services, and policies of the JCC and other agencies (as deemed necessary) in order to provide quick, accurate answers to inquiries in order to provide excellent customer service.
· Verify membership cards are scanned for anyone entering the member services area. Confirm the photo printed on the card matches the member and the membership record is in good standing. Enter member data via computer and verify record of all members seeking entry without their membership card.
· Follow proper procedures for all guest inquiries. Guests must show proper identification, and should be valid guests of a current member.
· Operate and use all functions of Daxko, Net2, and all other customer relations software.
· Assist members and non-members with creating their online accounts, registering for programming, making membership changes, and setting up alerts.
· Give tours of the JCC as directed by the Director of Membership and assist with the member joining process.
· Keep the desk and records up to date and organized. Scan, label, and attach documents to member accounts.
· Greets all members as they enter or leave the facility in a friendly, positive manner.
· Answer phones, transfers calls, and responds to emails as needed in a pleasant, professional manner.
· Reliable and predictable attendance.
· Assistance with special events as needed.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
This position requires the ability to work Evenings:
Regularly scheduled days are Monday – Thursday, 1:00 pm – 9:15 pm each shift. Friday 12:00pm to 7:00 pm
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
· Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Experience with Daxko, Net2, or related software.
· Able to create reports and spreadsheets; routine and ad-hoc as requested.
· Ability to independently troubleshoot a variety of scenarios and present solutions.
· Complete all administrative duties in a thorough and timely manner.
· Able to handle competing priorities and deadlines by demonstrating excellent time management skills.
· Assist in developing a positive identity for the JCC in the community.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Customer Service experience preferred.

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently working on a computer in an office environment.
· The person in this position will constantlyneed to move about inside the office (access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.) and constantly traverse various athletic grounds and facilities including, ascending/descending stairs, ramps and/or uneven surfaces.
· Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
· The person in this position constantlycommunicates with others. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
· The person in the position frequently needs to be able to position self to pick up/put down items.
· The person in this position will occasionallylift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
