The ICD-10 Coder is a certified coder and under the direction of the Client Billing and Coding Manager performs the daily activities of to reviewing the pathology report and assigns the correct ICD-10 code for billing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer All ICD-10 diagnosis codes.
Correct errors in diagnosis codes.
Review/examine all reports for accuracy.
Work edits relating to correct coding guidelines.
Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.
Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.

Requirements:
EDUCATION & LICENSURE:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification or Certified Medical Coder (CMC) or Equivalent certification required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Two to four years of prior ICD 10 coding experience required.
Knowledge of governmental payor policies and medical billing experience is preferred.
