**Job Summary:**
San Jose's Original Mexican Restaurnt is opening up a new location in Lake Buena Vista and are seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled food items, ensuring high-quality meals for our customers.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and cook meats, seafood, and vegetables on the grill according to recipes and customer preferences
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food production
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Grill Cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of various grilling techniques and food safety best practices
- Ability to handle and cook food safely, following proper procedures
- Strong understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Excellent knife skills for food preparation
- Familiarity with menu planning and catering concepts
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume setting
**Preferred Skills:**
- Previous experience in food handling, food service, meal preparation, or dietary aide roles
- Familiarity with menu planning and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
