Hummingbird EV’s engineering team is made of experienced, passionate people with expertise in electronics, mechanical design, energy systems, and embedded software. We are seeking a passionate electrical/electronic engineer to join the fast-paced electrical/electronic development team. As an electrical engineer, you will apply your knowledge of electrical/electronic design and prototype/manufacturing processes to assist Hummingbird EV’s electrical system/parts design, test, and prototype/manufacturing efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Schematic design: Analog circuits (current/temperature and other signal sensing and OPAMPs), digital circuits, and isolated and non-isolated power supplies, power / ground plans and so on
- Perform design simulations to ensure optimum operation of the design.
- Analyze and assist in product prototyping, testing and troubleshooting and monitoring the product for internal/external studies using Lab test equipment and/or test software.
- Develop, document and revise system test procedures, and quality control standards.
- Organize the assembly and perform debug tests on all levels of the board design from topology to production of products.
- Evaluate and select components such as a variety of sensors, MCUs, Communication protocols and circuits.
- Create and verify component footprint, design, assemble, document and test PCBs with respect to layout, electrical and mechanical constraints, manufacturability, and relative costs of various alternatives.
- Generate and maintain Gerber and BOMs and fabrication documentation to support on-site production.
- Coordinate device form factor with other team members such as mechanical engineers and purchase designers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering(Required)
- Hands on experience of hardware development and troubleshooting, able to work with tools, assemble/disassemble and debug hardware.
- Read, understand, and draw schematics utilizing familiarity with at least one electronic CAD tool for schematic capture (we prefer Altium, Zuken E3 Cable or AutoCAD).
