Let's talk about the role!
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Analyst to join our sales team, focused on growing Distributor Sales and Gross Margin across the Tattoo, PMU and Body Jewelry businesses at BAA, reporting directly into the VP of Sales and supporting the Account Managers and Inside Sales teams. The Wholesale Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in optimizing and managing the operations of our wholesale division. This position involves analyzing data, developing operational strategies, and ensuring efficient processes to support the growth and profitability of the wholesale business. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
Responsibilities:

Analyzing distributor sales trends and provide information to Sales Reps and Inside sales, including:
-
Sales performance against budget and/or historical trends
-
Underlying drivers of sales performance (e.g., AoV, order frequency)
-
Product mix trends (e.g., type, pty. Vs non-pty) Analysis of distributor product mix, providing insights to reps for opportunities within our proprietary products for upsell/cross sell opportunities

Buying patterns (e.g., seasonality)
-
Identifying opportunities to increase market share, including:
-
Identification of new Distributors
- Analysis of BAA market share by State and City
- Communicate performance, insights and recommendations consistently to Sales Reps, Inside Sales, and Customer Service team

Manage the Distributor Pricing program, including:
-
Manage Distributor Price and Discount matrix (i.e., what discounts and service levels do we provide for each tier)
-
Manage Distributor Allocation list (i.e., which tier is each distributor in)
-
Track compliance to ensure adherend to matrix
- Support the VP of Sales implement and analyze results from strategic and promotional activities, including:
-
Quantifying opportunities by assessing revenue, margin and cost variables
-
Analyzing performance of implemented initiatives
-
Analyzing impact of promotions and marketing events
- Managing and distributing sales dashboards and reports
-
Facilitating sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting activities, including:
-
Manage establishment of bottoms-up budget at the Distributor level, including new targets
-
Publish daily, weekly and monthly results to budget with identification of key variances
-
Produce quarterly forecasts at the Distributor/product level by working with Sales Reps
- Train and support Sales Reps and Inside Sales team in the use of Netsuite CRM, and publish weekly CRM compliance report
- Manage sales and product collateral to support Distributor sales (e.g., digital assets, product information sheets)

Coordinate training and development sessions to improve brand, product and selling skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in operations analysis, or a similar role within a wholesale or retail environment.
Skills:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
