Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role as an Associate Attorney at Anselmo & Wojcicki, LLP, specializing in Estate Planning and Real Estate Law. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and assistance to clients, conducting research, negotiating contracts, preparing estate plans, and attending real estate closings. This role is based in Schaumburg, IL, with the flexibility for some remote work. The ideal candidate is able to build relationships, handle a fast-paced environment, and help oversee and enforce updates to the office procedures and best practices. It is imperative that the candidate is a highly motivated, self-starter looking for an opportunity to grow with our firm.
Job Responsibilities
· Initiate and manage communications with clients, contact, and other professionals
· Draft estate plans and manage the funding process
· Meet and plan with clients to address their estate planning needs
· Attending real estate closings
· Draft and edit correspondence and other legal documents including buy-sell agreements, incorporation documents, operating agreements, and real estate documents
· Handle client meetings and provide legal advice
Qualifications
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Experience with Estate Planning, Real Estate, and Commercial Transactions
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Experience in negotiating contracts
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to details and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability and desire to be an active team member within the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Familiarity with Wealth Counsel and SmokeBall are a plus
- Experience in civil litigation and probate administration is a plus
- Current book of business is not required
