The Facilities and IT Director has the responsibility for completing objectives required to maintain the physical integrity of several restaurant locations within a geographically assigned area. This is handled with the implementation of preventative maintenance practices and responding to the maintenance needs of each restaurant in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Drivers must possess a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle to be operated and keep the license(s) with them at all times while driving.
- Drivers must have a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance carrier. Please refer to our Driver Acceptability Matrix for details on moving violations and accidents within the past 5 years.
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Prioritization and completion of needed equipment repairs, as they occur, in a timely fashion utilizing maintain X with recorded zoom video calls.
- Responsible for the follow up of all techs and his personal facilities checklist daily and each tech’s daily recap before ending the day.
- Work in conjunction with restaurant leaders and district leaders to ensure the preventative maintenance procedures as defined by the Company’s checklist. Responsible for escalating any deficiencies to regional directors and the President in a timely fashion.
- Develop a work schedule to minimize the impact on customer service and normal restaurant operations. Responsible for all facilities and IT tech schedules.
- Organize work activities to ensure all repairs, both essential and minor, are completed in a timely manner.
- Be quick and responsive with all communication. All non-emergency communication should be answered within 24 business hours.
- Work all hours necessary to open new restaurants timely and efficiently and in any capacity needed.
- Use time clock app properly, including recording mileage, hours, and job descriptions.
- Responsible for ensuring all comcast networks, stratacache players for all DMB’s and ODMB’s, gamut systems, dtiq camera systems, linxup , tillster, Par are checked daily by whoever is on call for IT. Checklist showing issues and resolutions submitted to loss prevention daily. Any troubleshooting completed on recorded zoom calls and submitted to loss prevention daily.
- Responsible for ensuring gamut alerts are acted on and being received by the right leaders in each restaurant.
- Responsible for all alarm alerts going to the right leaders.
- Ensure all district leaders and regional directors have the latest approved vendor list for all emergencies. Update a minimum of 2x annually. Update Jan 15 and June 15 each year.
- Responsible for All techs being cross-trained. Techs must all assist each other with troubleshooting utilizing zoom video calls.
- Responsible for ensuring all restaurant assets are tracked with linxup. All equipment should not be offline for more than 24 hrs.
- Facilities tech meetings monthly via zoom – submit agenda and and 1 on 1’s scheduled a minimum of 1x in person per quarter.
- Inventory of spare parts and equipment and organization of warehouses
- Responsible for Contracts and scheduling of all fire inspection companies. These should all be automatic with no calls needing to be made. Vendor should email the restaurant with their maintenance date
- Responsible for all plowing contracts and landscaping contracts. Submit plow contracts for approval to the President and by 9-30 and landscaping contracts by 2-28. Establish a landscaping budget no later than March 1 of each year
- Attend the Weekly call and present any current issues
- Host a weekly call with all District Leaders and techs in regards to any escalations to ensure clear communication. Record the weekly call via zoom and submit to loss prevention. Communicate budgets and status for the quarter on each call.
- Establish a Budget for each restaurant. Identify which restaurants abuse outside vendors and submit that monthly along with budgetary goals and plans.
- Establish a Lot Sealing and Striping budget along with the list of stores that will be sealed and striped for each calendar year
- Establish a list of Capital Improvements by October of each fiscal year and a comprehensive plan of ordering and installation for each restaurant requiring capital improvements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- MInimum of 5 years experience in a Maintenance/Facilties Director Role
- Disciplined to work independently
- Good verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact productively with coworkers and function well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and adjust to changing assignments while maintaining productivity, composure, and a pleasant attitude
- Conduct training for all restaurant leadership on basic maintenance of all equipment
- Oversee the detail cleaning of each restaurant in the assigned district
- Ability to clearly report and/or escalate issues to the appropriate company personnel, as needed
