Primary Function
Serve as a work leader to ensure that work assignments of assigned employees are carried out. Distribute and balance workload; train employees; answer employee questions concerning departmental policies/procedures, and directives; resolve complaints, complete evaluations, deliver coaching’s, and hire technician staff; review, amend and check work in progress to ensure methods and deadlines have been met; work with director on financial and operational improvements. Oversee the Pharmacy Technician Training Program; complete weekly ordering, selling, and pedigrees of DSCSA eligible medications as part of the Wholesaler license.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years of college experience or employment experience comparable to college training preferred. At least 5 years of hospital related background and computer operations. Valid RI pharmacy technician registration and National Certified Pharmacy Technician Affiliation required.
