We are seeking a technician who will install, program, maintain, or repair security, access control, video or fire alarm wiring and equipment for all commercial and residential projects. In this position, you will follow safety practices and standard codes to meet high-quality standards.

Job Tasks
- Assist with other technicians with installing security, fire, camera, and intercom systems following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans
- Someone who is able to take directions from a lead tech and execute the vision and plans of the project
- Inspect safety equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, or video cameras and attach electrical and telephone wiring to connect components.
- Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, or floors
- Pulling the proper cable for the project and per manufacturers’ recommendations
- Mount raceways and conduits and fasten wires to wood framing
- Run wiring to connect equipment
- Adjust sensitivity of units, based on room structures and manufacturers' recommendations.
- Work with customers or users to assess problems and make recommendations
- Perform calibrations for wire placement and electronic components
- Participate in test runs and meet safety regulations
- Ability to be available on call when ready

- Technical school degree and certification for technicians; license as required by state
- Proficient computer skills, able to use computers to program, set up functions, enter data, or process information
- Excellent communicator; able to understand instructions and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal property and safety regulations
- Strong mathematical and technical skills
- Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Able to form constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
- Strong desire to learn and willingness to take direction
