Summary
The Sr Applications Administrator role has responsibility for Oracle NetSuite administration and other enterprise SAAS applications mostly interfacing with NetSuite, analysis, development, and support activities across the organization. In addition, this role will develop and deliver technical documentation and training to the organization. This role will engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to be successful.
The Applications Administrator will have a detailed understanding of the application architecture and ability to implement and support development strategies in a growing organization.
Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas
- Help establish and maintain application architecture, strategy, and standards
- Partner with outsourced service providers to ensure compliance with standards and processes
- Deliver an excellent application experience for end-users while ensuring day-to-day business requirements are handled promptly and effectively
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive ERP and Plant Application environment to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data/information
- Responsible for role-based security for enterprise applications
- Help define and maintain operational policies, standards, processes for area of responsibilities
- Build rapport with peers, department leads and site operational resources for effective collaboration and understanding of shared objectives
- Responsible for patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
- Support application disaster recovery policies and standards to align with enterprise business continuity management program goals
- Support the procurement, inventory, and assignment of application licenses, maintenance, and subscriptions of NetSuite and ERP extensions
- Maintain monitoring solutions to confirm application availability and performance, and resolve any issues (on call and available after hours / weekends)
- Support projects as needed to accomplish identified goals or complete areas of responsibilities
- Implement and maintain application controls per cybersecurity policies and security framework
- Develop and maintain testing protocols and scripts
- Strict adherence to change management for reliability and compliance
- Coordination with outsourced service providers augmenting the IT team’s services and support model
- Develop and maintain a range of technical documentation, including: business/system/project processes and quality manuals
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and functional department leaders to gather information and ensure accuracy
- Organize and present technical information in a clear and concise manner, tailored to the target audience
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and webinars for employees and partners
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledgeable about the business and technology environments to ensure that everyone understands the risk and impact associated with changes in the environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills (including ability to probe deeply into business issues during exploratory and fact-finding calls/discussions)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix issues
- Ability to see potential issues and risks before they become serious problems, and implement an appropriate mitigation plan
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, multi-task across projects, and effectively prioritize
- Experience of CSV imports, user provisioning, defining roles, report analytics and scheduling scripts
- Proficiency with documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio and Adobe Acrobat Pro (or Bluebeam Revu)
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum 3 years of NetSuite Admin experience with advanced understanding of the NetSuite platform
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting multi-site environments with a hybrid (on-site/remote) workforce
