Sauget Sanitary Development and Research Association administers a regional wastewater treatment facility providing services to Sauget, East St. Louis, Cahokia Heights, and the surrounding communities. In 2014 the facility was awarded "Plant of The Year" by the Illinois Association of Water Pollution Control Operators. Job Description
The HR Coordinator has a hands-on role that reports directly to our Managing Director. This individual provides a variety of human resources services for employees of the Association including, but not limited to salary administration, recruitment and staffing, benefit administration, workers’ compensation, manage FMLA, record retention, coordinate training, employee handbook updates, ensure compliance with legal guidelines, and develops and maintains policies and programs related to the human resources function. Reduce and avoid the possibility of any threat to the company through ill-advised or illegal employee practices. Provide HR assistance and guidance to employees, managers and Executive Director.
Must be comfortable being the sole HR practitioner on site, able to self-manage day to day, set personal milestones and schedule.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a HR certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive HR experience.
