We are seeking a dedicated and organized Bilingual S’gaw Karen Trainer/HR Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and S’gaw Karen, with excellent communication skills in both languages. The primary responsibilities of the Trainer/HR Assistant may include translating for and assisting employees, maintaining employee records, answering phones, and ensuring that all employees receive the necessary training to excel in their roles. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and with a diverse workforce.

Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the Human Resources Manager and Training Coordinator to develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of our bilingual workforce,
Conduct English and Karen orientation sessions and ensure a smooth integration of new employees into the company.
Assist in the interview process.
Assists staff in a timely and polite manner. Assists in both oral and written translation services as requested.
Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
Ensure all employee information is accurate, up-to-date, and complies with company policies and legal requirements.
Complete I9 verification per federal guidelines. Utilize Everify to confirm an employee’s work eligibility.
Assists in taking staff attendance daily. Coordinate with supervisors to identify missing staff members. Record and disseminate attendance tracking daily per established procedures.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Assist in recruiting efforts as directed by the HR Manager. This may include attending job fairs, recording radio ads, contacting potential applicants, etc.
Assist in coordinating audits and projects.
Assist Training Coordinator and operations teams to develop, implement, and maintain a Production Operator training program.
Learning all jobs by working on the line to assure effective training of employees.
Coordinate the housing program and act as the liaison between TVF and the property managers.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Required):
- High school or GED
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Karen, both written/typed and spoken
Qualifications (Preferred)
2- or 4-year degree Human Resources, Administrative Support, Training and Development, Education, Occupational Health and Safety, Ergonomics, or related field
Certification in training and development or human resources.
Proven experience in designing, coordinating, and facilitating training programs, preferably in a bilingual/multicultural environment.
Fluency in Pwo Karen, Eastern Pwo Karen, and/or any other dialect common to the Karen.
Pay Scale: $19.00-$25.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday – Friday, some weekends as required. Hours may start as early as 5:00 a.m. and end as late as 4:00 p.m. depending on position selected for. Overtime may be required.
Working Conditions
Working conditions vary by department but may include:

· Noise, vibration, hazards, and atmospheric conditions

Physical Requirements
Standing, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, reaching overhead, walking, climbing stairs, fingering, grasping, lifting, feeling, and repetitive motions.
Wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene equipment, including but not limited to steel mesh guards, bump cap/hard hat, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, smock, and gloves
Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
