Tandem Clinical Research is a clinical research company dedicated to testing of investigational medications and devices that cover a broad range of diseases and disorders. Our New Orleans clinic is located in Marrero, LA .
We are currently seeking a full time Clinical Research Nurse.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Understand thoroughly all assigned studies through reading protocols, attending investigator meetings and start-up meetings, and coordinating with Principal Investigator
2. Adhere strictly to the study protocol; obtain exemptions when necessary/appropriate
3. Communicate protocol issues to CRO and/or Sponsor, Site Administrator, Director, Principal or Sub-Investigator
4. Articulate all pertinent issues to the PI or document by email/letter or during meetings
5. Collect initial psychiatric and medical information by interviewing patients and by accessing other appropriate sources
6. Ensure a flow of communication including telephone conferences between patient, study staff, referral sources, Sponsor and/or CRO, Monitor(s), Auditors and any marketing groups hired by the Sponsor
7. Utilize various rating scales and maintaining interrater reliability with other clinicians.
8. Perform clinical tasks including, but not limited to, vital signs, height and weight, ECG, phlebotomy, specimen packaging
9. Maintain timely source documentation as well as sponsor required information.
10. Dispense and maintain accurate records of study medication
11. Educate patients and family regarding their particular study and clinical drug trials in general.
12. Complete all monitor and sponsor queries in a timely manner
13. Provide appropriate community resource referrals to patients, caretakers, and family at conclusion of patient’s participation in study

Required Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree required.
2. Experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) or Research Assistant
3. RN licensure
