Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Logistics Manager located in Queens, NY at Wildflower Studios. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for assisting the Head Facilities Engineer with overseeing all Loading Dock-related responsibilities. The Logistics Manager is to provide exceptional customer service to our customers and clients, and to assist them with access to our facility as they load in and out for productions and events. The Logistics Manager is responsible for supervision and oversight of the day-to-day operations of commercial facility ramps, loading docks and loading/unloading of production-related materials. Incumbent is responsible for the strict access control and scheduling/coordination of deliveries to the loading dock. This includes responsibility for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors in the dock area. The location for this position would be housed at the loading dock entrance of the facility, monitoring all movement in and out of the loading dock.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Logistics Manager include:
· Support Facilities, Security and Operations teams with assisting Stage Managers and productions in all loading dock, and delivery situations
· Coordinate deliveries and pickups from suppliers and customers
· Coordinate the operation of large vehicle turntable located in the loading dock floor
· Coordinate shipping, receiving and packing with accuracy and efficiency
· Maintain a clean and uncluttered dock area, and ensuring that no personal vehicles are parked at the loading dock area
· Work closely with management and other operations staff to continuously improve the flow of activity and products through the dock
· Ensure compliance with all relevant work safety rules, policies and regulations
· Immediately report any accidents or near misses on the loading dock and dock area to management
· Ability to prioritize multiple and/or competing tasks based on business needs
· Ability to use role related equipment, like forklifts and other moving equipment
· Complete work within deadlines
· Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
