Description:
Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologists and general supervision of the Medical Physicists, the primary role of the dosimetrist is to initiate and see-through the treatment planning process for external beam photon treatment plans. Additionally, the medical dosimetrist will, on occasion, aid in special procedures and brachytherapy treatment planning. As the program develops, the dosimetrist will also provide training to dosimetrists, physicists, radiation oncologists and affiliate trainees in dosimetry, supports and adheres to BHSF safety and compliance program to include OSHA, HIPAA and the Code of Ethics. Estimated salary range for this position is $120,665.27-$180,997.90 / year depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: MDCB Certified Medical Dosimetrist Additional Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a physical science or RTT and a graduate of a formal, JRCERT dosimetry program. Direct dosimetry experience and Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) board-eligible/certified required. For recent dosimetry graduates, CMD certification to be obtained with 12months of hire date. RTT experience from an accredited radiation therapy technology program is preferred. Minimum Required Experience: Less than 1
