Senior Distribution Manager
Location: Dallas, TX
WHAT THIS POSITION IS ALL ABOUT
The responsibility of the Manager is to provide managerial expertise and direction in all areas of the daily operations including leadership, organizational structure, productivity programs, service levels, communication, and team development.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Coach, mentor, and motivate direct and indirect reports.
- Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, requirements, and partnerships.
- Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Asset Protection and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
- Facilitate communications and consistency across multiple shifts/departments.
- Deliver consistent performance against set targets on key metrics and carry out daily/weekly reviews of KPI’s.
- Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Ensure all health & safety standards are met as always set by the company as well as local rules and regulations.
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Inspirational leader through both action and collaboration. Acts as a coach and role model without guidance or prompt. Can be relied upon to see the potential of those around the
- Easily translates complex strategies into actionable plans.
- Fosters a performance culture with those they collaborate with to deliver positive outcomes across the organization Work in collaboration with the General Manager and cross-functional leadership teams to identify gaps and recommend solutions to improve overall store performance.
- Maintain performance/productivity expectations by reviewing and evaluating results, conducting individual coaching sessions, analyzing reports and reacting to trends.
- Create and maintain an environment that inspires and encourages growth and development.
- Interview prospective new hires and evaluate candidates on predicted job fit and soft skills requirements.
- The subject matter expert for Fulfillment who will identify opportunities and evolve best practices.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Experience with Manhattan software is MUST.
- Experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements (through Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma)
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical, proactive solution-oriented approach
- Experience in management, operations, and leadership in an ecommerce distribution center asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Senior Distribution Manager: 5 years (Preferred)
- Lean Process, Kaizen and/Six Sigma: 1 year (Preferred)
- Manhattan software: 1 year (Preferred)
