Part-Time High School Science Teacher in Valley Village
Morning Teaching Hours
**Responsibilities:**
- Teach 2-3 high school science classes in the areas of Biology and Chemistry.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and standards.
- Foster a supportive and dynamic learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary concepts and activities into the science curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school-related events as required.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience at the high school level.
- Experience teaching high school Biology and Chemistry courses.
- Strong content knowledge and passion for science education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and provide support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
**Compensation:**
- Rates starting at $12,000 per class section per year.
