A Boston based multi-unit, multi-brand restaurant group seeking Director of Operations for 2-5 Independent/Multi-Brand units (The Broadway, The Playwright, Dorchester, Quincy). The DO reports directly to the Vice President of Operations/CEO and collaborates with all departments and executive team members as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
· Directly responsible for execution of all Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems.
· Directs and oversees General Manager on training and development of management teams.
· Interviews and hires quality management applicants; responsible for team growth and development.
· Develops general managers and holds them accountable to company operational and financial standards.
· Understands and teaches how to impact major cost control areas: food, beverage, labor, and direct operating expenses.
· Reviews and monitors financial and operational performance of locations.
· Manages budget, cost control and profit for all locations.
· Motivates, inspires, and teaches teams to obtain all company sales, profit and growth goals.
· Understands the importance of communication at all levels to maximize understanding and achieve results.
· Ensures highest level of quality, sanitation and food safety standards are upheld and in place.
· Understands how to implement and teach new company initiatives.
· Supports team in managing all human resource issues appropriately and in accordance with federal and state laws and ethical business practices.
· Develops and implements sales building strategies, identifying both internal and external impact and influences.
· Ensures highest level of service standards in accordance with company’s hospitality guidelines and vision.
· History of achieving results and building winning teams through teaching, coaching, leading and development.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of five (5) years of Proven Leadership expertise
· Minimum of five (5) years of direct foodservice operational management experience in high volume multi-unit multi-brand organization.
· Current trend and local industry knowledge of existing and emerging brands, with a focus on quality, execution, value perception and brand.
Experience in overseeing a portfolio of $15M annually

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
