An Administrator-in-Training (AIT) Program is a supervised, paid internship during which the AIT works under the guidance and supervision of a preceptor, who is a licensed administrator meeting the qualifications established for preceptors by The State of North Carolina. The AIT internship is just one of several requirements in order to get licensed.

On the Job Training Oppotunites:
- Assist daily administrative operations within the healthcare facility under the supervision of a senior administrator.
- Assist with the management of staff and coordination of facility services.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and the facility’s policies.
- Participate in the development of policies and programs and monitor their implementation.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management.
- Support quality assurance and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Engage with staff and patients to gain hands-on experience in healthcare management.
Qualifications:
- Associate's (required), Bachelor’s (preferred) degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in an administrative or managerial role, preferably in Long Term Care.
- Strong understanding of LTC operations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
