Position Summary: Combines direct experience working with seniors with skills in technology to provide computer instruction and supervision of all computer learning centers to ensure that a consistent, high quality and effective learning experience is provided to all senior’s students: ensures that all facilities are utilized to the greatest extent possible. Plans, organizes and coordinates all activities of the computer learning center including curriculum, in class-activities, program and development.
Principal Responsibilities
- Able to prepare lesson plans and teach individuals or groups.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other technology
- Able to multi-task and work independently with a great attention to detail
- Adhere to organization’s standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including – but not limited to – Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.
- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
Salary Ranges: $30 - $35 per hour/session commensurate with experience.
Job Competencies and Minimum Qualifications
- Three years teaching experience
- Knowledge of teaching and the ability to design courses
- Ability to use one’s initiative
- Specific software or computer skills; (ex. Must be proficient in Word, XL and PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on treating clients with respect and dignity
- Able to multi-task and work with groups with a great attention to detail
- Teaching a variety of computer classes to center members including but not limited to: Beginner, Intermediate, I-Pad, Surfing the Net, Excel.
