Private dental office in Santa Ana, Orange County is looking for enthusiastic dental assistant with the following experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for infection control
- Experience with medical imaging techniques, such as dental x-rays
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Strong medical documentation skills for accurate record keeping
- Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Adherence to strict infection control protocols
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or other dental software systems
