The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for setting up all teams for daily success. This is carried out by utilizing the logistics of receiving, processing, picking, packing, and storing inventory according to orders and jobs. Maintaining a clean workspace, daily objectives and strong organization are a necessity. Being aware of surroundings and having on required PPE in and outside the warehouse. Ability to work independently with detail. Having open communication and understanding of daily goals and objectives. Check list for sign-in and out of equipment. Reporting any damaged merchandise, equipment, or the facility to the supervisor. Handle products with proper care. Lift and move materials with proper lifting techniques.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations of the Company.

Stages material for the next day’s workload, in order to set the field crews up for success.

Checking material out & in daily to ensure usage is accurate.

Maintains hand equipment for contracting group for proper function.

Organizes and maintains inventory.

Receives and verifies all inventory with receiving slip and P.O, responsible for filing paperwork and verifying inventory is received within inventory tracking system.

Make deliveries to local customers to support the product sales department.

Responsible for reporting low inventory and suggesting re-ordering checkpoints

Supports frequent cycle counts, and annual yearly inventory count at all Colorado Barricade locations

Finds ways to improve existing procedures and practices.

Coordinates receiving of materials from shipping or freight vehicles.

Checks received materials from shipping label and turns it in.

Reports issues in a timely manner.

Performs daily inspection of the warehouse and yard.

Proactive communication.

Assists with month-end inventory counts.

Maintaining records.

Reports issues with equipment or materials.

Follows company policies and procedures.

Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late, when necessary, with little or no notice.

Arrive at the work site on time wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), e.g., hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and earplugs as required, and when applicable, a respirator.

Qualifications
-
Organization and attention to details to maintain accurate inventory records.
-
Basic math and writing skills are necessary to track, count, and record information.
-
5+ years of warehouse management experience including knowledge of cycle count processes, kanban organization and workflow principles.

Basic computer competency skills and ability to learn new software programs quickly in order to enter and track inventory levels and send communication to internal and external partners.

Requires independent decision making on inventory needs, especially during peak season.

Must be able and eligible to safely operate and maintain required equipment to fulfill warehousing responsibilities.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements
-
Work is performed outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions / varying temperatures, e.g., exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, dry, and/or windy conditions.

General Lift/Carry Expectations: Must be able to lift to 35 lbs. regularly. Constant lifting/carrying of material used to complete the job.

Standing: Constant standing throughout the shift. Position may require standing for periods greater than two hours at a time, for a total of greater than eight hours.

Walking: Constant walking throughout shifts to complete worksite project.
-
Sitting: Occasional sitting for brief periods in vehicles when moving from one location to another.
-
Reaching: Constant reaching to load and unload material and equipment. Included constant overhead reaching.
-
Stooping/Bending/Kneeling: Constant stooping/bending/kneeling when putting down and picking up material and equipment.

Twisting: Frequent twisting of the body from side to side.
-
Grasping: Constant grasping handles, brooms, shovels, roller knaps.

Pushing/Pulling: Frequent pushing and pulling of various work equipment.

Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination.
-
Ability to work at heights of 7-25 ft.
Requirements

Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR **Must maintain a valid driver’s license during entire employment**

Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.

Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check

Hold/obtain flagger card.

Forklift Certification or ability to get certified.
