Aspirus Seasons of Life - Hospice in Woodruff, WI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team!
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The CNA works within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The Professional Practice Model is a set of values and beliefs that provide a context for a CNA’s clinical practice and decisions made in the provision of nursing service as defined below:

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education
- Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience and completion of a nursing assistant course.
Experience

One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting beneficial or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.
Required

Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended.
o For Float, Palliative Care Unit (PCU), Home Health, and Hospice - Current CNA registry required.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. Is able to travel to patient/client homes to provide patient/client care.
- Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required.

Possesses automobile liability insurance with minimum $100,000/$300,000 coverage required, or $300,000 combined single-limit liability.

- Unable to do independent transfer for those patients in need.
