Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of medications.
Duties:
- Assists patients by providing prompt and courteous member service. Answers phones, directs patients to product locations, selling prescriptions at the registers and preserves patient confidentiality.
- Assists pharmacists in updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer to the extent allowed by state law.
- Assists pharmacists in filling prescriptions by entering prescription information into the system, retrieving and counting medication, applying all appropriate prescription labeling, and organizing prescriptions in the patient pick up area.
- Processes invoices and makes accounting entries using AS-400.
- Orders and stocks OTC merchandise, prescription drugs, and supplies. Maintains inventory and manages shrink prevention.
- Keep the department clean, neat and organized. Cleans the department by sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Empties trash and operates trash compactor. Follows all security and safety procedures.
Benefits
- Starting pay is $21.50 (will need to provide documentation of National Certification).
- Full benefits are offered for both full time and part time employees.
- Full time employees are guaranteed 40 hours a week.
- Part time employees are guaranteed a minimum of 24 hours a week, but may work up to 40 hours.
Qualifications:
- Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license active and in good standing with the state of Nebraska.
- Nationally certified pharmacy technician - usually PTCB or ExCPT.
- Experience in community pharmacy prefered by not required.
