Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain component parts by design specifications.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and review engineering drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Research and identify equivalent components for substitution and cost optimization.
- Input and validate BOM data in quote workbooks/modules to facilitate accurate cost estimation.
- Estimate labor costs for manufacturing processes and review for accuracy.
- Review customer contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
- Evaluate equipment needs for new quotes/assemblies including crimp tooling, overmolds, and test mates.
- Train and mentor estimators/quoting team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Conduct time studies to maintain accurate labor estimates based on current production processes.
- Investigate and develop best practices for manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Keep abreast of advancements in materials and processes relevant to the business.
- Identify and recommend appropriate tooling and equipment for assembly processes.
- Analyze workflow and implement improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop the team to ensure compliance with IPC620 and designated workmanship standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to seamlessly integrate new products into manufacturing processes
- Oversee and complete special projects as assigned.
- Provide engineering support to customers as needed.
- Review and manage engineering change orders from customers.
- Execute manufacturing engineering tasks as required.
- Understand and ensure compliance with customer QA and assembly requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
- Cable assembly manufacturing experience required

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
