Summary
TEAMS Learning Center is looking for a full-time teacher to join the staff at our Cashmere location where we “play with purpose”! The ideal candidate has a passion for early learning and wants to grow with us; we expect this Lead Teacher to be promoted to Program Supervisor within 2 - 3 months. Because of this anticipated promotion, we do require a completed AA degree in early childhood education.
Position: Lead Teacher (Preschool 2 - 5 year olds) - this role will be promoted to Program Supervisor within 2 - 3 months.
Location: Cashmere
Hours: Monday through Friday, 10AM to 6PM
Overview: TEAMS Learning Center | Cashmere, is a Child Development Center with flexible enrollment for children ages two-and-a-half to five years old. We offer a full-time program, with flexible drop-off and pick-up. We believe in play with purpose! Duties
- Function in the classroom as a teacher & ensure the safety, health and wellness of the children.
- Work with a co-teachers to implement curriculum, address student needs and growth.
- Implement daily activity schedules and curriculum plans; adapt plans as necessary to meet temperament and needs of the group.
- Promote children's emotional and social development, understanding of others and self-actualization.
- Develop & maintain positive relationships with families; provide regular verbal communication regarding daily involvement and feedback related to ongoing areas of individual student development.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain an orderly, attractive and safe environment in the shared spaces, bathroom and storage areas.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.
- Adhere to all TEAMS policies and procedures and complies with state licensing requirements.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be at least eighteen years of age or older
- Have completed AA in ECE (45 credits)
- Have documented child development education or work experience
- Readiness to be outside everyday.
- The results of a two step Mantoux TB skin test and cleared background check prior to starting work
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and lift 25-50 lbs
Certifications & Requirements Upon Hire:
- A current basic standard first aid and age appropriate CPR certificate
- Written proof of HIV/AIDS and bloodborne pathogen training that includes prevention, transmission, treatment and confidentiality issues
- Compliance with criminal background check and fingerprinting in compliance with DCYF including registration with MERIT electronic workforce database.
- Complete required STARS training within six months of becoming a teacher
- Food handlers permit
