Job Description
Rockhouse Southern Kitchen is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team at our Houston, TX location. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who is passionate about food and excited to work in a fast paced, high energy environment. This position will report directly to the Executive Chef and assist in the daily operations of the kitchen.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Assist in daily food preparation and production.
- Assist in the daily cleaning of kitchen and other areas.
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to company standards.
- Ensure that all dishes are properly cleaned prior to service.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, including washing dishes, silverware, and glassware.
- Ensure that proper storage of kitchen supplies is maintained.
- Maintain a positive attitude and team atmosphere with other employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Manager.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on detail-oriented work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high energy levels.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
