Job Summary
Serves as the product engineer for load balancing solutions to include Citrix Netscaler, cloud native load balancers, and research and develop new load balancing services
Primary Activities and Responsibilities

- Responsible for the creation of documentation for load balancing service offerings as well as procedures for daily maintenance and support.
- Provides expertise for new applications and infrastructure implementations requiring traffic distribution, port mapping, and encryption in transit.
- Design traffic backup, failover, and GSLB solutions for planned and unplanned infrastructure outages.
- Assists in 3rd level troubleshooting involving network routing, firewall, browser/server communication issues, as well as any performance issues involving the load balancers.
- Reviews TLS Encryption protocols and Ciphers and submits to Security team for approval.
- Plans lifecycle of load balancer products including firmware update cycle, end of life migration planning, capacity planning, and license usage estimates.
- Builds Infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration/maintenance automation for reliable building and scaling of load balancers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 5 or more years of experience in Information Systems/Technology
Equivalent Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 10 or more years of experience in Information Systems/Technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 10 or more years of experience in Transportation Operations, Information Systems/Technology, or Logistics
- Microsoft Azure Administrator AZ-104 Certification
- 4 or more years experience with Citrix Netscaler
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in administration of Enterprise Load Balancers like Citrix NetScaler or F5
- Ability to analyze requirements and offer options for continuous improvements
- Familiarity with tools to help troubleshoot network issues
- Familiarity with Switching, Routing, and DNS devices and services
- Strong understanding of host based IP stack and ethernet interface configuration.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, formally and informally, orally and in writing, to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to rapidly absorb and understand relevance of new technical information to the business, and demonstrate creativity and innovation in applying solutions
- Familiarity with L2/L3 LAN/WAN network protocols such as STP, VTP, and TCP/IP.
