Our company is currently seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Dewatering Operator to join our team in Houston, TX.
Description
Under direct supervision, performs various mobile dewatering activities through pressing application (Mobile Belt Press Operation). Mobilizations/de-mobilization of dewatering equipment (mobile belt press trailer and conveyor). Daily belt press operation at various “on-site” locations – A Texas Class D Wastewater Operators license is preferred.
Examples of Duties
· Performs/operates mobile belt press at various sites in the Greater Houston Area and surrounding jurisdictions – this activity occurs at municipal wastewater plants on a scheduled basis.
· Inspect equipment and monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges.
· Collects water and wastewater samples as directed/Collect and test water and sewage samples, using test equipment and color analysis standards.
· Operate and adjust controls on equipment during processing stages of press application.
· Assists operators and mechanics in maintenance needs on assigned equipment.
· Informs supervisor of all problems, deviations, hazards, unfamiliar situations, and all work activities.
- Ensure safety standards are met.
Who you are
- A Texas Class D Wastewater Operators license is preferred but not required
- High school graduate or equivalent
- The ability to learn procedures related to safe handling of materials

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
