OTM is one of Northern California's largest commercial furniture installation companies. We are looking for a Finance Specialist to join our Finance team. This role will primarily sit in our Hayward location but may need to work in our Sacramento office on occasion.
THE JOB
OTMs Finance Specialist is responsible for the timely accurate daily order management, ensuring that all information within an order is accurate and up to date. The Finance Specialist has the ability to work diligently to help maintain smooth operations. This role highlights the full cycle of a project; from ensuring all proper documentation is received at the start of the project, to assisting with payroll and job costing as the project is in progress, and finally to the payment of the project after completion. This position will undertake a variety of activities in the Finance department ranging from accounts receivable, filing, reconciliation, accounts payable and job costing. This role regularly partners with all levels of team members, Spanish speaking is a plus.

THE QUALIFICATIONS . . .
Experience
- 1+ years project billing/accounting in construction or related industry
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience (extra points for a degree in in Accounting, Economics, or Finance)
Soft Skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
- Must be a fan of real-time problem solving
- A desire to learn the commercial furniture industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills - verbal and written. Able to communicate effectively with project managers, customers, co-workers, and executives.
Technology
- Microsoft Excel - Intermediate+
- Comfortable working in a Google-based tech environment (G-Suite) as well as using Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable with and enjoy constant communications via Gmail and using all aspects of Zoom (chat, text, phone and video conferencing)
- PDF form filler software
- An ability to easily learn new software, a fear of technology won’t work
