SUMMARY: Responsible for implementing the company quality system and policy in support of internal and external customer requirements. Performs product inspections and internal audits. Performs inspection on sample parts, initial production parts, customer returns, incoming raw material and purchased parts. Data is collected and accurate company records are maintained by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for PPAP system.
· Participate in maintaining a Compliant Quality System.
· Prepare customer requested Material and Part Certifications.
· Collect and analyze data using statistical techniques for initial process studies.
· Initiate and correspond with internal departments and external customers on general part concerns.
· Perform inspections of purchased parts used for resale, which includes inspecting part dimensions, labels, packaging and overall condition of the parts.
· Visual inspection involves conditions of color, deformities, damage, particulate, and packaging of manufactured and purchased parts. Dimensional inspection is conducted to assure compliance to blueprint specifications.
· Perform receiving inspection duties, including verification of the lot/batch numbers to the COA and actual product.
· Perform dock audits and maintain reports.
· Participate in UL audits.
· Participate in customer portal requirements.
· Participate in the FMEA team.
Use desktop computer to generate and update forms, correspondences and spreadsheets for the purpose of maintaining various quality records and reports.
Responsible for complying with the company’s Environmental Policy Manual, applicable work instructions and reporting any environmental nonconformance and/or potential nonconformance to supervision or management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
