Tier II PC/System Administrator
This network administrator position is designed to provide mid level hardware and software technical support our clients. Our Tier II administrators are expected to be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties
Provide advanced hardware and software support. Accept escalated tasks from lower level technicians. Manage the deployment, upgrades, and maintenance of desktop computers and peripherals. Create procedures for installation, use and solving problems for IT hardware and software. Design networks and install necessary network gear. Direct cable installers and support staff to proper handling practices. Manage client's needs by researching new technologies. Maintain customer management applications to include remote support agents, desktop management, asset management, update delivery and filtering appliances. Monitor and recommend advancements for our multi-county wireless ISP. (We own and operate a wireless ISP on 19 towers in the region. This position would be instrumental in maintaining and growing this business.)
Essentials
Excellent troubleshooting skills. Advanced knowledge of IP protocols and networking. Ability to resolve issues as they arise.
