Overview
Independent Electric is an over 100-year-old family owned and operated company headquartered in Kansas City, KS. We serve industry in a variety of ways. We repair and test electric motors, hoist/cranes, welders and generators. We also offer power distribution equipment testing and repair, as well as, new and used product offerings. We are looking for an Branch Manager to oversee our operations and sales in our central Missouri market.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall direction of the branch operations. They are responsible for the profitable sale of the company's services and merchandise, and the growth of the branch business.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Branch Manager reports to the Territory Manager.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
All branch personnel report to the Branch Manager. The Branch Manager maintains a liaison with: the VP, Sales to ensure the achievement of the company's sales growth objectives; the VP, Shop Operations and VP, Technical Solutions to ensure that the branch supports the company's repair and service standards; the CFO to ensure that the branch supports the company's office, credit and human resources policies and objectives.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs the branch sales operations.
- Calls on customers in branch sales territory and handles key accounts personally.
- Responsible for hiring of all branch employees.
- Evaluates personnel and makes recommendations as to performance, training, compensation.
- Recommends changes in physical plant, work systems, sales activities to improve efficiency, profitability, safety and morale.
- Maintains an efficient and productive workflow.
- Maintains high quality standards.
- Controls inventory of repair materials and merchandise so as to achieve good service levels, while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.
- Makes recommendations for new products and services.
- Makes recommendations on pricing.
- Attends periodic training sessions on supervision, job knowledge, and safety.
- takes all necessary steps to ensure continual evaluation and improvement of the company goals of Quality, Service, and Value.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience on a sales team
- 5 years of management experience
- Bachelors degree

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
