Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Head Cleaner to join our team. Our goal is to improve the laundry experience for our Customers, by keeping the stores clean & tidy! If you love Commercial Cleaning, then this is right position for you!
The ideal candidate will have a background in Commercial Cleaning, Management and Customer service skills. Some tasks require being low to the ground or high up and could require a good level of physical fitness. Candidate must be able to lift heavy trash bags and be able to stand for long periods of time. Candidate must enjoy working with people and working as a team with the other employees at the Laundromat. Candidate must be a self-starter and able to manage their daily tasks as well as other cleaners on the team.
This position requires your own car, since you would be driving back and forth between 2 Laundromat locations every day. They are about 10 minutes apart from each other.
We are looking for a candidate that will join our team and stay with us for the long term. The position is job shared with another employee that is close to retirement, so days/hours are somewhat flexible, especially after they retire.

Responsibilities: the main responsibility is daily cleaning/maintenance of the stores and machines.
- Dusting, Sanitizing, Wiping, Polishing the faces all of the Machines
- Scrubbing the doors/soap dispensers of the Machines
- Performing monthly cleaning maintenance on the Machines
- Cleaning and Sanitizing the Bathrooms (potentially bodily fluids)
- Dusting high up or hard to reach places
- Cleaning the Dryer Lint traps, waist height and low to the ground
- Taking out the trash
- Sweeping and Mopping the floor
- Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness standards
- Helping Customers with issues related to laundry machine errors
- Creating and overseeing the cleaning Schedule for the week and Scheduling the hours for other cleaners.
-Calling Customers and issuing refunds
-Keeping track of supply inventories and sending in the order forms
-Taking on any odd jobs that may pop up that are related to cleaning and maintaining the store
-Interviewing potential cleaners as we add them to our team.
-Meeting contractors periodically that come to the store to fix things
-Helping with preventative maintenance to the machines
-Performing reviews of other Employees work
Requirements:
- Prior experience in Commercial Cleaning & Management
- Attention to details and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with other team members
- Ability to use an App on your phone for clocking in and out
- Must have childcare and/or pet care - no children or pets allowed while working
-Must be willing to come in for any laundry "emergencies" like flooding for example.
-Must be willing to cover shifts for other employees if they are sick or have vacation.
-Must be willing and able to drive between Laundromat locations everyday, to clean.
-Must be able to use simple tools like a screwdriver, drill, pliers, etc.
Schedule:
- We are looking for a candidate that will job share with the other supervisor that works during the week. As of now, the ideal schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, every single weekend. There may be some flexibility on the schedule and hours, since the other employee is close to retirement. There are some opportunities for other cleaners to fill in if needed, but to start, this position would be responsible for all 4 days on a regular basis. We can discuss this with your personal situation and find out what works best.
-Shifts times are somewhat flexible, but the ideal time is 10am - 4pm each day.
-In addition to your regular hours....we also offer a $25 service fee call (plus your hourly rate) for any cleaning emergencies that may pop up at any time during the week...day/night.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
