Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring a Cyber Process Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a process engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site. As a Cyber Process Engineer on our team, you will provide support to Cyber operations, including supporting methodology development and evaluation on process engineering best practices within the cyber-security mission space. You will provide analytic support to evaluate and identify gaps and inefficiencies in cyber mitigation strategies, tactics, and operations. You will collect, record, and transcribe data in support of identifying the root cause in performance shortfalls and will consult in using process improvement techniques to drive performance and quality. You will facilitate and orchestrate group participation and conduct interviews while supporting enterprise-wide integration of process improvement efforts. You will be required to educate others on assessment/evaluation processes, benefits, and potential uses, and will provide timely and accurate responses to requests for assistance, information, products, or services. You will be required to evaluate existing processes to address problems with process workflows, organizational structure and alignment, and planning. You will not only assist in defining Process Improvement strategies and lessons learned but will also assist in planning and execution of process improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma and Project management Institute methods.
Qualifications
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
- Ten (10) years of experience with Process Improvement on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Experience is to include, within the past ten (10) years, five (5) years' experience in facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices.
- A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or education from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Position requires TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
- Develop plans for process assessments, both informal and formal,
- Work closely with the systems and software engineering process development team members to determine organizational readiness for assessment as well as in conducting assessments,
- Coordinate and schedule process assessments,
- Lead assessment teams in conducting both formal and informal assessments,
- Analyze assessment results and make improvement recommendations,
- Ensure assessment results and recommendations are used as the basis for improvement plans,
- Assess Process Improvement progress and report findings,
- Evaluate Systems Engineering and Software Engineering processes to address problems with process workflows, organizational structure and alignment, and planning,
- Assist in defining Process Improvement strategy and lesson learned,
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for Process Improvement activities,
- Assist in Enterprise level Systems and Software Engineering Process Improvement initiatives,
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills,
- Ability to work within a team setting to complete assigned tasks within expected schedule to complete, and
- Flexible/easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment that may require surge efforts.

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
