Overview:
Join our team as an Inventory Specialist where you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels to support efficient operations. As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock levels, and contributing to the overall success of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Gather parts requested by workers, ensuring parts used slip filled out before they leave the building.
- Conduct daily inventory audits as assigned.
- Receive and put away new deliveries as needed. Parts will be left in a designated spot by day shift, and inventoried only after items have been verified against the packing slip unless otherwise specified.
- Ensure all parts have clear pictures in upkeep and proper labels for identification.
- Compose a weekly list of low-stock consumables in the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including:
- Emptying the trash when full.
- Emptying the cardboard recycling when full.
- Sweeping warehouse and office floor once a week.
- Inform day shift of any noteworthy events or issues from the previous night.
- Check hardware and other consumable stock levels in production maintenance and transportation weekly and create a purchasing list as needed.
- Add new parts to upkeep inventory as required.
- Assist with filing, including packing slips and parts request slips.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Properly close warehouse at the end of the shift: turn off lights in the office and main part of the warehouse, close office window, and lock the door.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Technological competence.
- Ability with Excel
- Comfortable with professional emailing
- Experience in inventory management or related field.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Potential training opportunities to become a purchaser, involving tasks such as sending out quotes for stock items and informing management of out-of-stock or low-stock items.
