The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation is seeking a Traffic Engineer. Depending on the level of experience, the position leads or supports traffic studies and accident analyses, oversees traffic devices, and represents the Department for various traffic planning activities.
Responsibility also includes planning, design, and construction oversight activities for projects involving traffic devices and fixed traffic facilities in support of County goals and operations, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or traffic/transportation engineering or related discipline. We are looking for any level of experience starting from a recent graduate to an experienced Professional Engineer
To be eligible for the higher pay rates you must be registered to practice as a Professional Engineer in New York State and have eight years of experience.
