We are looking for individuals to support adults with disabilities and barriers with the goal of building skills, workplace relationships, social skills, job retention, and independence.
You will support and match individuals with: community activities, work or volunteer opportunities, or other interests in the area. We will train you on how to break down tasks to give effective instruction, show you ways to improve productivity, and teach you effective motivational techniques. You will observe habits, teach appropriate behaviors and attitudes help them to integrate with their peers/customers, and record each individual’s progress. Transporting individuals on a daily basis may be required in community integration activities.
The Campbell Center is a non-profit agency providing employment and community integration services to adults with autism and other intellectual disabilities in the Glendale/Burbank area.
Qualifications:
- Must complete Indeed assessments included with this application to be considered for an interview.Must be able to provide instruction and training to develop or improve appropriate social/employment skills, behaviors, and attitudes to adults with IDD to be integrated members of the community.
- Must to drive their own vehicle (as needed, mileage reimbursement included at current IRS rate)
- Must have a driving record in good standing & valid California Driver’s License: Class C.
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written skills with all levels of staff and the public.
- Basic computer skills required: word, google docs, email.
- Must pass Live Scan background check, Driving Record, and TB testing.
- Must be Covid-Vaccinated, including Booster.
- College preferred, at least High School Diploma or GED, .
Hours per week: Full-time and part-time availability, based on client needs. Community Coach: Usually 8am- 6pm; depends on client needs. Job Coaching: Monday through Sunday available; depends on client needs.
