Supply Chain Specialist
Summary of Essential Functions:
The MIBA Industrial Bearings U.S., LLC Supply Chain Specialist is a key member of the Supply Chain team reporting to the Site Operations Manager. This position is in the Columbus Ne site, which requires interaction and collaboration with sister site in Grafton WI. This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of job packets (production work orders, etc.) and inventory according to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include tactical MRP transactions related to planning, maintaining the shipment schedules, conferring with department Leads to determine progress of work and completion dates, monitoring inventory levels, and cycle counting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure timely review of customer demand and provide feedback to the Customer Service and Sales teams.
· Establish the required quantities and availability of materials needed to meet customer demand and oversee the release shop orders accordingly.
· Proactively communicate across the organization scheduling issues and opportunities to ensure deliveries are met and objectives are achieved.
· Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules in reaction of unforeseen conditions.
· Interface with purchasing to expedite problem parts and to reschedule material deliveries that will result in excess inventory.
· Open / Close shop orders ensuring proper material consumption. Perform inventory movements and adjustments as needed.
· Communicate with various internal departments on any potential production issues or needs.
· Support cross plant/departmental teams and projects as necessary.
· Engage with shop floor personnel with any issues and support resolution within the supply chain function.
· Ensure scheduled daily work is on track.
· Support the seamless interaction of purchasing and materials management to resolve gaps between supply capabilities and production plans.
· Other duties as assigned.
Essentials for Success:
· A Bachelor's level education preferred; Certifications CSCP, CPIM, CPM or experience considered in lieu of education.
· Relevant experience within a manufacturing environment, (i.e., Procurement, Scheduling, Production, Operations, Customer Service, etc.)
· Relevant experience with MRP systems such as SAP

· Ability to evaluate situations objectively and demonstrate the ability to make decisions that are intended to have a positive impact on work performance or area and the total business
· Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments to complete them on time
· Demonstrated skills in problem solving, contract negotiation and project management
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
· Advanced Excel skills (big data analysis, pivot tables, etc.)
· Strong project management and analytical skills
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP
· Entrepreneurial desire.
· APICS CPIM Certification a plus
· Ability to conduct root cause problem solving and prioritization
· Experience working on cross-functional teams and interaction with contacts in different regions a plus
· Strong analytical skills
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, plant, warehouse, etc.
· Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds.
· Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
· Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine and PC.
· Ability to simultaneously manage several objectives and reassign priorities.
· Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
· Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment is typically considered to include offices and manufacturing shop floor. Work environment may also include customer sites including and meeting venues. Approved PPE is required when on the factory floor.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
