Construction Office Bookkeeper/Accountant
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience with various accounting software. Duties: - Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes - Conduct account analysis and provide recommendations for improvements - Prepare financial statements and reports for management review - Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities - Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) - Maintain accurate records of debits and credits - Assist with tax preparation and government accounting requirements Experience: - Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices - Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) - Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes - Ability to perform account analysis and identify discrepancies - Knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting regulations - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions If you have a passion for numbers and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
