GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs a variety of routine duties as needed to receive and admit patrons to the swimming pool facilities and selling concessions.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the general supervision of the Hot Springs Aquatic & Facilities Manager, Assistant Hot Springs Aquatic & Facilities Manager or Lead Customer Service Associate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Cashiering: Receives money for the payment of daily admissions, membership fees, and sells concessions and merchandise; computes amount due, returns correct change and issues receipt of payment; assures checks are complete and correct.
Performs daily shift closeout; balances cashier drawer; prepares bank deposit; receipts collection of credit card transactions.
Attends in service trainings.
Customer Service: Communicates honestly, effectively and respectfully with members of the general public; properly conveys the rules, policies and programs of the pool; performs receptionist duties such as checking voicemails and answering telephone calls; maintains a general knowledge of the City including surrounding recreational, dining and other opportunities; responds to inquiries, complaints and suggestions.
Maintains supply of information resources including brochures, pamphlets, etc.; assists patrons with information regarding local attractions, recreational services and venues; directs patrons to various local establishments, retail outlets and eateries; assists patrons with lost and found.
Assists patrons in the absence of a Lead Cashier in the process of requesting refunds; completes appropriate request forms and follows established processes and procedures according to policy.
Housekeeping: Performs scheduled upkeep and maintenance of facility; cleans floors, walls, windows, water equipment, etc.; cleans and polishes; operates vacuum to clean carpeted areas; sweeps and dusts; monitors general activities of facility to assure safety.
Social Media Posting: Performs daily updates to social media streams postings apprising the public of pool and environmental conditions, including pool temperatures and weather forecasts.
Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education and Experience:
A. Sufficient education and training to demonstrate an aptitude or ability to perform above and related duties;
AND
B. Six months (6 mo.) general work experience, in cashiering preferred;

2. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Some knowledge basic mathematics related to cashiering and changing money; point of sale (POS) system; basic interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to operate point of sale system; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, the public, ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

4. Work Environment:
Workers perform in a climate controlled environment. Tasks require variety of physical activities, generally involving limited muscular strain, such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, and reaching. Talking, hearing and seeing essential to job performance. Common eye, hand, finger dexterity necessary in performance of essential duties. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability and discriminating thinking
