POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Operate all phases of the Extrusion line to produce quality pipe.
Summaries of the essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:
1. Learn the skills to become a full technician.
2. Aid extrusion technicians in keeping production of extrusion lines running while minimizing scrap rate and downtime
3. Take required quality samples. Continually look for dimensional and aesthetic issues. Correct immediately to ensure good pipe quality.
4. Maintain all equipment and tools in good working condition. Notify Maintenance of any equipment issues that need corrected.
5. Perform screw and tooling cleaning from shutdown to start-up.
6. Perform start-ups, changeovers, and adjustments to the machines.
7. Control paperwork at the machine. i.e., Process sheets, logs, pipe tracking at take-ups
8. Verify that IQMS buckets are dumped correctly.
9. Promote good housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment with the proper use of guarding and PPE, etc.
