Position Summary
We are currently seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to join our growing organization. The Insurance Verification Specialist performs assigned daily activities of the Insurance Verification team to assist in improving client revenue and educating patients by verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, and prior authorization requirements.
The Insurance Verification Specialist reports to the Insurance Verification Manager and is an advocate of the overall culture, vision, and values of BRIDGE.

Professional and timely communications with both client resources and patients will be required.

Essential Job Functions
- Follows organization policies and procedures
- Follows client specific policies and procedures
- Contacts insurance companies via PM application(s), payer website or phone to accurately verify eligibility and benefits. Document obtained data per policy and procedures.
- Provides superior customer support to our clients and their customers by responding to questions and requests; effectively escalates issues as required
- Communicate and work with patients to educate them on their benefit information. Must comprehend minimal CPT4 coding guidelines.
- Cross trained to provide department coverage as requested
- Effectively assist in training team members
- Successfully navigate multiple vendors including but not limited to, payer websites
- Upholds "best practices" in day-to-day processes and workflow standardization to drive maximum efficiencies across the team
- Must maintain professional and consistent communication with the team, client and patients to ensure all required information is received and documented in a timely manner and within productivity standards
- Routinely collaborate with department managers to correct problems and improve services
- Informs manager of identified issues or trends
- Meets specified department performance requirements and productivity metrics
- Manages time and multi-tasks appropriately to meet expectations of management and peers
- Remote employee is responsible for sufficient internet connectivity and equipment necessary to complete assigned job duties in efficient manner
- Remote employees are responsible for keeping the work area quiet and organized during scheduled working hours. Position requires extensive phone communications daily.

- Must be able to work flex schedule accommodating Monday-Friday 7AM - 7PM PST business hours and rotating Saturdays 8:30AM – 5:00PM PST as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, And Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalency required
- Prior NextGen experience preferred
- Prior eligibility and insurance verification experience required
- 2+ years’ experience in healthcare (professional) billing, health insurance or equivalent operations work environment
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand insurance benefits and applicable CPT4 coding
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and adapt to frequent priority changes
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Capacity to identify and implement improvement opportunities where enhanced processes, technology, or efficiencies can be applied
- Proficient technical skills and customer satisfaction skills, including ability to troubleshoot products, use MS Office applications and webinar software

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
