Accountability
The teacher is accountable to the principal which in turn is accountable to the School Board.
Qualifications

- shall reflect and commit to the school’s Mission and Philosophy, and the overall ministry and well being of Concord Lutheran School,
- and continues to advance professionally through reading, conference attendance, and further study.
Personal: The teacher…
- models the Christian faith in both how they conduct themselves and their classrooms,
- and uses time efficiently, organizes work systematically, and follows through on plans.
Responsibilities
Administration: The teacher … * will regularly attend faculty meetings and devotions,
- will regularly participate and attend PTL meetings as directed by the principal,
- will lead scheduled meetings with the classroom aides (if any),
- completes required reports, records, and forms on time,
- fulfills assigned responsibilities – including grade-level assignments, staff assignments, and co-curricular assignments,
- will maintain classroom discipline using the school documented discipline policies and procedures,
- maintains a Christian professional relationship with colleagues, parents, and students,
- will show support for the role of parents as primarily responsible for their child’s education (spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and academic) and assist them in that task,
- and will maintain contact with students’ parents through frequent notes, telephone calls, and face-to-face meetings,
Supervision of Students: The teacher …
- communicates effectively with children at all levels,
- is effective and fair in handling pupil disciplinary problems,
- is responsible for adherence to standards of behavior which have been adopted for the school,
- will adapt to the learning needs of students, using a variety of effective instructional aids, methods and materials, in order to allow students to master concepts, knowledge, and skills,
- will conduct daily opening classroom devotions and proactive appropriate corporate prayer with the students,
- and will intentionally plan opportunities and activities that extend learning beyond the textbook (i.e. field trips, guest speakers, and other media).
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $37,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
