The Position:
We are seeking a team-oriented Merchandising Assistant to assist our merchandising and sales teams with project management responsibilities and tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project coordination. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results while effectively managing multiple projects.
Essential Duties:
- Assists Merchandising and Sales teams with various customer inquiries.
- Utilize team resources (internal and external) to effectively execute established processes.
- Consistently provide organized, succinct, accurate, clear, and solutions-oriented communication.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate project activities, including timelines, resources, and deliverables, to ensure successful completion within established parameters.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Develop and foster close working relationships with cross-functional colleagues and departments
- Locate and organize sample merchandise as needed or directed
- Assist in the resetting of visual merchandise displays or product based on the needs of in house meetings, presentations or external trade shows

Requirements:
- 2-year college degree in business and/or background in merchandising/sales/marketing for the apparel industry.
- 2+ years of experience in merchandising, project management or a business related function.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Demonstrated experience with project management.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good design sense, creative/conceptual/forward thinker with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience in collaborating with creative teams to create impactful ideas.
- Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in an efficient, high-volume environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about doing the best job and putting out the best product possible.
- Collaborative, inclusive, and team-oriented work ethic with a proven ability to effectively communicate with and establish strong and productive cross-functional relationships. Can build relationships up, down, and across the organization.
