Wilkie Sanderson, a leading Commercial Millwork company based out of Sauk Rapids, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. This role is integral to leading our Engineering Department and driving continuous improvement in efficiency and quality. As a working manager, you will be hands-on with various engineering tools and technologies while leading a diverse team of engineers and drafters.

Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and develop the Engineering and Drafting team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Oversee project lifecycles, optimizing processes to meet goals and deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and maintain a focus on quality and consistency.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, creating and documenting company standards.
- Manage and distribute workloads effectively among team members.
- Lead on-site and remote employees, fostering a cohesive and productive team environment.
- Utilize and streamline engineering software, including AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Solidworks, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to align engineering and drafting processes with overall business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze department performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support sales and project management teams by providing technical expertise and assistance on projects.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Required:
- Proven experience in engineering management or a related field, with a minimum of 3+ years preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, and/or Solidworks)
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings and/or engineering prints
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision and accuracy in CAD drafting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
Desired:
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Construction Technology, Architectural Drafting and Design, Engineering or related field.
- Exposure to CNC programming and knowledge of millwork fabrication processes.
