The JIB Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s joint interest billing accounting functions and ensures that expenditures are recorded within the framework of Talos Energy Inc.’s policies and procedures in compliance of applicable regulations. Job duties extend to supporting the joint venture audit functions, including the hosting of audits and the resolution of open exceptions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process Production Handling Agreement Overhead
- Calculate Cap Adjustments associated with PHA Agreements
- Ownership of corporate bonds, including allocation to joint accounts
- Prepare various journal vouchers affecting the JIB Department
- Calculate and maintain Insurance Energy Package
- Assist in allocation of chemicals across platforms
- Prepare various schedules and worksheets supporting the financial statements
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal staff
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
- Minimum of 8 years’ accounting experience in the Exploration & Production oil/gas industry.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Experience in BOLO or Excalibur accounting systems preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion. A fair amount of standing and walking is also required for the position.
